A Monday for sales: the pipeline before anyone opens Pipedrive

By Team Two · Last updated September 23, 2026 · 2 min read

This is an example, not a customer story, and not a measured result.

Monday, 7:30, before standup. A scheduled job wakes a sales agent. The instruction is the same every week: deals expected to close this month that have no next activity, plus anything sitting in the same stage since last Monday.

What it reads

The agent has Pipedrive tools and a Slack post, and nothing else. It searches deals, pulls the ones in the closing stages, and checks activities. It does not email the prospect. It does not move a stage.

Three deals match the stale pattern. One of them, an example account called Harbor Light, has a note from Thursday: "legal is reviewing the DPA." The agent keeps that sentence. It does not upgrade the deal because the note sounds hopeful.

What lands in Slack

In #sales it posts a short list. Each line is the deal name, the stage, the owner, the last activity date, and one suggested next step taken from your own playbook skill, not from a generic sales script. Harbor Light's line says: wait for legal, do not nudge the buyer today, ask the owner if the DPA is the blocker.

A chart of deal value by stage can sit under the list, drawn from the numbers Pipedrive already returned. The chart is a picture of that pull. It is not a forecast you should read to the board without looking at the source deals.

What a rep still does

The owner opens Harbor Light, decides the next activity, and updates the stage if it actually changed. If you want the agent to write that update, put a human-input step in front of it, as in Workflows that wait for a person. The Monday brief itself is allowed to post, because it only reports.

Frequently asked questions

Can it qualify a new lead the same way?+

Yes, if you give it the fields you care about and a person reviews the score before anyone is contacted. It should not email a prospect on its own.

Where do proposal drafts fit?+

A separate request: deal context from Pipedrive, past proposals from the knowledge base, a draft for the account executive to edit. Sending stays with the rep.
